Changing the face of contra dance music in a random way.
- We are:
- Dave Langford - fiddle/guitar
Bill Tomczak - clarinet/saxophone/banjo uke/dumbek Peter Barnes - piano/guitar/flute/harmonica
Combined, we represent over 60 years of playing for contra dances, english country dance and a variety of miscellaneous musics often related to folk dancing of some sort or another (or not). Every time we played together we consistently had such a great time, we decided to name the band and even record a CD or two. And we're still having a blast! |

| The Lizards were, without a doubt, the best northern band experience of my
life (ok, I MAY be prone, ok, just slightly and on very rare occasion, to
exaggeration and a wee smidgen of hyperbole but....). I'm not often won over
by "fame" or "names", and I wouldn't cross the street to go hear some bands others
fawn over. But they had passion and intelligence and variety of color mood, you name it,
all anyone could ever ever ask of musicians. And a clarinet. Please please ask them back sometime! |
